Graduation Poem
You meet people
Like seeds being planted
You create new bonds
These bonds start to grow
Overtime at its own pace
Like the seeds they need time and care
These bonds start to deepen
Like a plant spreading its roots deep into the ground
As you start to share irreplaceable memories
These bonds start to strengthen
Like the roots of a sturdy tree, holding it in place
As you do things for others you’d never dream of before
Now these bonds are put to the test
As you prepare to leave and spend the last of your time together
How will you end it? Or will you end it at all?
Will the tree you planted bear any fruit?
Or will you have to start over?
You meet people
Like seeds being planted
You create new bonds
These bonds start to grow
Overtime at its own pace
Like the seeds they need time and care
These bonds start to deepen
Like a plant spreading its roots deep into the ground
As you start to share irreplaceable memories
These bonds start to strengthen
Like the roots of a sturdy tree, holding it in place
As you do things for others you’d never dream of before
Now these bonds are put to the test
As you prepare to leave and spend the last of your time together
How will you end it? Or will you end it at all?
Will the tree you planted bear any fruit?
Or will you have to start over?
